Where It Started
Clara spent years in the classroom before stepping into entrepreneurship herself...
When she graduated from college, she thought she was going to be a teacher for the next 40 years. Obviously that didn’t pan out…between finding a support network, a husband that encouraged me to “just try this out,” and determination to build something meaningful and impactful in education, the idea for Fond-A Education was born.
There are brilliant, mission-driven people building tutoring companies, curriculum businesses, edtech tools, and microschools all over the world and all hitting the same wall. They know their subject matter. They might be teachers without a business background. They might be ex-corporate folks that have never actually worked with kids, families, or schools.
Fond-A Education was built to close that gap. The name is a nod to something simple: we're genuinely fond of education, and fond of the entrepreneurs brave enough to build something new inside it.
